Founder of Neuro Direct Virtual Care
Board-Certified Vascular Neurologist
I founded Neuro Direct Virtual Care because I saw firsthand how broken the system is for both patients and neurologists.
As a practicing neurologist, I watched patients wait months for appointments that lasted fifteen minutes. I saw people drive hours to see a specialist, take entire days off work, and still leave feeling rushed and unheard. Rural patients had it worst, many simply went without care because there was no neurologist within a reasonable distance. The access crisis in neurology is not an abstraction. It is something I witnessed every day.
Technology was supposed to help, but in most healthcare settings it has done the opposite. Clunky patient portals, endless forms, and confusing interfaces have created more friction, not less. I wanted to build something where the technology disappears and the patient experience feels effortless, like it should have been all along.
On the physician side, the problems run just as deep. Most neurologists are locked into rigid schedules, seeing twenty-plus patients a day in fifteen-minute slots with little say over how they practice. Burnout is rampant, over sixty percent of neurologists report it. Many talented colleagues have left clinical practice entirely because the traditional model left no room for autonomy or sustainable work.
Neuro Direct Virtual Care is my answer to all of these problems. We give patients fast access to board-certified neurologists through simple video visits, with extended consultation times with quick response times to all follow-up questions. We give neurologists the flexibility to practice on their own terms, choosing when and how much they work. And we built the entire platform from scratch to be as simple and frictionless as possible, because great care should not require a technology learning curve.
